Welcome to

BhaliHi Balinese
A cat of distinction, Siamese in type, but one who has more finesse
My interest in cats has been a constant in my life since my first cat Patchy a white shorthair domestic. In the beginning I breed Persians under the prefix Tridis and was breeding colour points and the last kitten kept was Tridis Bijoux a blue point who died at the age of 21 years having outlived her mother by 5 years, I then went on to breed the Shaded Silver and Chinchilla Persians.
But the purchase of an Australian breed Siamese, Jesuis Toyia Mi Suk (aka Suki) a lilac point carrying the longhair gene. She was put her to a Seal point Balinese Trilby Tao and they produced my first Balinese and set a new direction. The addition of Dingbats Carnegie our first Balinese stud gave us the most delightful pair of well mannered loving cats to base our lines on. I thank the breeders of these two delightful cats as they formed the foundation of BhaliHi Cattery.
Br Dbl Gr Ch BhaliHi Shiminto Mao with a young white female
Balinese, Siamese, Javanese and Oriental cats are all intermixable and produce pedigree kittens that can be registered and shown at either New Zealand Cat Fancy or Cats Inc shows throughout NZ.
As I use both Oriental and Siamese in my breeding program I am able to breed all 4 of these type of cats.
Please enjoy viewing the cats on these pages and if you feel you want to add one of these bright intelligent creatures to your home contact us via

Peace at last

A selection of kittens snoozing in the lounge on a cool day. It has been seen where 9 cats / kittens can be found snuggled up in this one basket, it is known as the layered look. And the body language of those left out gives one the message, it is time to light the fire please purry please.
While I have no intention of breeding dogs I have become the proud owner of two pups as diverse in their type as my interest in Persians which is as strong as my interest in the slinky Balinese.
First to arrive was a young Japanese Spitz Aurora from Lois Butler of Talbothights Kennels. She has attitude in truck loads but is a very happy friendly girl and as smart as a tack. Regretfully her show career died before it started as her and one of my prize show cats have a love hate relationship and unfortunately cat won the cost being Aurora lost an eye. The other cats go " OH hell she's on the loose lets head for the cat room" The second is a beautiful White Swiss Shepherd Heidi from Tanya Omlo-Van Geffen of Pandorras Kennels. The cats are more accepting of this gentle lass. While I intend to continue with cat shows I do intend to exhibit both these dogs.
